  This product is manufactured by BioVision, an Abcam company and was previously called 3505 Phospho-p70 S6 Kinase Antibody. 3505-100 is the same size as the 100 µl size of ab2571.

  p70 S6 Kinase is a mitogen activated Ser/Thr protein kinase that is required for cell growth and G1 cell cycle progression. P70 S6 Kinase phosphorylates the S6 protein of the 40S ribosomal subunit and is involved in translational control of 5’oligopyrimidine tract mRNAs. A second isoform, p85 S6 Kinase, is derived from the same gene and is identical to p70 S6 Kinase except for 23 extra residues at the N-terminus that encode a nuclear localizing signal.

  Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Anti-P70 S6 Kinase (phospho T389) antibody (ab2571)

  Immunohistochemistry analysis of human liver cancer tissue sections staining Phospho-p70 S6 Kinase using ab2571 at 1/200. The tissue was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The tissue was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22°C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary antibody.
