| Product description | Members of the LDL receptor gene family, including LDLR (low density lipoprotein receptor), LRP1 (low density lipoprotein related protein), Megalin (also designated GP330), VLDLR (very low density lipoprotein receptor) and ApoER2 are characterized by a cluster of cysteine-rich class A repeats, epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like repeats, YWTD repeats and an O-linked sugar domain. Low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 3 (LRP3) is a 770 amino acid protein that contains two CUB domains and four LDL-receptor class A domains. LRP3 is widely expressed with highest expression in skeletal muscle and ovary and lowest expression in testis, colon and leukocytes. LRP3 is potentially a membrane receptor involved in the internalization of lipophilic molecules and/or signal transduction. |

Application
Western blot analysis of LRP3 against human LRP3 (AA: extra 43-184) recombinant protein. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% BSA in PBS for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (EM1711-24, 1/500) was used in 5% BSA at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat Anti-Mouse IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1:5,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.

Flow cytometric analysis of LRP3 was done on HL-60 cells. The cells were fixed, permeabilized and stained with the primary antibody (EM1711-24, 1/100) (green). After incubation of the primary antibody at room temperature for an hour, the cells were stained with a Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-Mouse IgG Secondary antibody at 1/500 dilution for 30 minutes.
