| Gene Summary | This gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. Members of this family are membrane-anchored proteins structurally related to snake venom disintegrins, and have been implicated in a variety of biological processes involving cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, including fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. The protein encoded by this gene interacts with SH3 domain-containing proteins, binds mitotic arrest deficient 2 beta protein, and is also involved in TPA-induced ectodomain shedding of membrane-anchored heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor. Western blot analysis of various lysates, using ADAM9 Rabbit mAb at1:2000 dilution. Secondary antibody: HRP Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at 1:10000 dilution. Lysates/proteins: 25ug per lane. Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. Detection: ECL Basic Kit. Exposure time: 90s.

Immunohistochemistry analysis of ADAM9 in paraffin-embedded human liver tissue using ADAM9 Rabbit mAb at a dilution of 1:200 (40x lens).High pressure antigen retrieval was performed with 0.01 M citrate buffer (pH 6.0) prior to IHC staining.

Confocal imaging of paraffin-embedded Human liver cancer tissue using ADAM9 Rabbit mAb (dilution 1:200) followed by a further incubation with Cy3 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) (dilution 1:500) (Red). DAPI was used for nuclear staining (Blue).
