| Gene Summary | The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane receptor for both human hepatitis A virus (HHAV) and TIMD4. The encoded protein may be involved in the moderation of asthma and allergic diseases. The reference genome represents an allele that retains a MTTVP amino acid segment that confers protection against atopy in HHAV seropositive individuals. The protein is a receptor for multiple other viruses, including Ebola virus, Marburg virus, Dengue virus, and Zika virus and is a possible entry factor for SARS-CoV-2 and other coronaviruses. Western blot analysis of TIM 1 on different lysates with Rabbit anti-TIM 1 antibody at 1/1,000 dilution. Lane 1: Huh7 cell lysate, Lane 2: HepG2 cell lysate, Lane 3: NCI-H441 cell lysate, Lane 4: Jurkat cell lysate, Lane 5: NIH/3T3 cell lysate, Lane 6: RAW264.7 cell lysate, Lane 7: PC-12 cell lysate, Lysates/proteins at 20 µg/Lane. Exposure time: 3 minutes; 4-20% SDS-PAGE gel. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody at 1/1,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at 4℃ overnight. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody at 1:100,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.| Application Notes | WB:1:1000 |
