| Gene Summary | The protein encoded by this gene is a galanin-like G protein-coupled receptor that binds metastin, a peptide encoded by the metastasis suppressor gene KISS1. The tissue distribution of the expressed gene suggests that it is involved in the regulation of endocrine function, and this is supported by the finding that this gene appears to play a role in the onset of puberty. Western blot analysis of anti- GPR54/KISS1R Antibody. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 50ug of sample under reducing conditions. Lane 1: MCF-7 whole cell lysates, Lane 2: Hela whole cell lysates, Lane 3: HepG2 whole cell lysates, Lane 4: rat kidney tissue lysates, Lane 5: mouse pancreas tissue lysates, Lane 6: mouse kidney tissue lysates. Use rabbit anti- KISS1R 1:1000, probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit. A specific band was detected for KISS1R at approximately 80KD. The expected band size for KISS1R is at 43KD.

IHC analysis using anti- GPR54/KISS1R Antibody. detected in paraffin-embedded section of rat brain tissue. Biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody. The tissue section was developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex (SABC) with DAB as the chromogen.
