| Gene Summary | The product of this gene belongs to the integrin alpha chain family. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha subunit and a beta subunit that function in cell surface adhesion and signaling. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate light and heavy chains that comprise the alpha V subunit. This subunit associates with beta 1, beta 3, beta 5, beta 6 and beta 8 subunits. The heterodimer consisting of alpha V and beta 3 subunits is also known as the vitronectin receptor. This integrin may regulate angiogenesis and cancer progression. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Note that the integrin alpha 5 and integrin alpha V subunits are encoded by distinct genes. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2015] |

WB
Western blot analysis of anti-Integrin Alpha V/ITGAV antibody. The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions. Lane 1: human MCF-7 whole cell lysates, Lane 2: human A549 whole cell lysates, Lane 3: human RT4 whole cell lysates, Lane 4: human HepG2 whole cell lysates, Lane 5: human Hela whole cell lysates, Lane 6: human SiHa whole cell lysates, Lane 7: human A431 whole cell lysates. After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a membrane. Then the membrane was incubated with mouse anti-Integrin Alpha V/ITGAV antigen affinity purified monoclonal antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and probed with a goat anti-mouse IgG-HRP secondary antibody. The signal is developed using ECL Plus Western Blotting Substrate.
IHC
IHC analysis of Integrin Alpha V/ITGAV using anti-Integrin Alpha V/ITGAV antibody. Integrin Alpha V/ITGAV was detected in a paraffin-embedded section of human placenta tissue. Biotinylated goat anti-mouse IgG was used as secondary antibody. The tissue section was incubated with mouse anti-Integrin Alpha V/ITGAV Antibody at a dilution of 1:200 and developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex (SABC) with DAB as the chromogen.
ICC/IF
IF analysis of Integrin Alpha V/ITGAV using anti-Integrin Alpha V/ITGAV antibody. Integrin Alpha V/ITGAV was detected in an immunocytochemical section of A549 cells. The section was incubated with mouse anti-Integrin Alpha V/ITGAV Antibody at a dilution of 1:100. Cy3-conjugated Anti-mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red)was used as secondary antibody. The section was counterstained with DAPI (Blue).| Application Notes | WB:1:500-1:2000 IHC:1:50-1:400 ICC/IF:1:50-1:400 |
